A Classic Appearance With Renewed Levels of Strength
Marc Linde, the owner of Remuda Building Supplies, was tremendously excited about his team being trained on how to properly install Wakefield Shingles. So much so, that their first customer was himself, as they ordered the shingles right after the training session to apply on his own beautiful house in the countryside.
1,104 individual shingles were delivered to his home. Replacing asphalt shingles with steel is not only safer for your house, as steel is far more durable and hail-resistant than asphalt (our steel shingles come with a Class 4 Impact Resistance rating). But it also has numerous other cost benefits, such as their Cool Roof solar-reflective technology, designed to reduce indoor temperatures, and many home insurance companies reduce their premiums when a home has steel roofing as well.
Cladding The Walls To Match The Impressive Roof
Linde didn’t just want his roof to be renovated with our steel – the majority of the house’s exterior saw a facelift as well. Much of the siding is Board & Batten in Fossil Grey, but there is also Forma Plank in Frontier Woodgrain to compliment a beautiful front patio, perfect to sit out and enjoy on a hot sunny day.
Combining Homegrown Comfort with Long-Lasting Durability
Marc Linde and his family were extremely impressed with the end results of their home renovation. We think it’s among the most visually dynamic residential projects in 2026, as both the siding and steel shingles compliment each other perfectly.
