A Powerful Design Seen From the Highway
A long-time customer of both Forma Steel and our sister company Structural Truss, Peter Heins & Sons Ltd. were wanting to build a new large 70ft x 100ft mechanic shop near Fort Macleod. Jordan Heins contacted Kees Oskam at K.O. Construction Inc, hoping to begin construction in late 2024 and siding the roof and walls with Forma product in the spring of 2025.

Pairing Two of Our Most Popular Panels
K.O. Construction laid the foundation in the summer, and Structural Truss designed and manufactured dozens of roof trusses delivered early November 2024. Forma Steel stepped in February 2025 with FC-36 in Bone White for the exterior walls and FC-36 in Carbon for the roof. FC-36 is our strongest and most widely used ¾” panel, especially for agricultural and commercial construction. For this particular project, a shop designed to fix farm equipment, FC-36 was the clearest and obvious choice for ultimate protection.
Heins also ordered our II/6 Reverse panel in Bone White for the soffit application, another commonly used metal solution when dealing with barns or large shops.

Long-Lasting Collaborations in Steel!
The strong and eye-catching structure can be seen from far away on Highway 2, and is a great example of the power of collaboration between not only Structural Truss and Forma Steel, but also our contractors and dealers like Peter and Jordan Heins and K.O. Construction.
