View our available colours for our sheet steel. We use an SMP Paint System for most of our standard colours, protected with either a 30 or 40 Year Paint Warranty. SMP (Silicone-Modified Polyester) paint systems are developed using a blend of polyester and silicone agents. Silicone acts to improve the gloss retention and weather resistance of the polyester coating.
SMP pre-painted steel is preferred by many due to the relative durability of the coating and the budget-friendly cost as compared to other more expensive paint systems. It is also typically more resistant to rough handling as compared to PVDF and performs better than standard polyester systems.
Our 40 Year Guarantee pertains to most of our Standard Colour Series. Please note that certain standard colours such as Copper Penny (PVDF) and Bright Red are available with a 30 Year Warranty. Ask Forma Steel for further warranty information on our specialty colour series as well.
